The Pilates system is a balanced combination of exercises to increase strength and flexibility, which synchronize the body, correct the posture, reduce stress, and form harmonious, elongated muscles without excess mass. Through a series of successive movements, Pilates simultaneously engages several muscle groups with a strong focus on strengthening the core of the body. Pilates offers a balanced approach so that no muscle group is overworked and the body functions as an efficient and healthy system both during workouts and in normal daily activities. The system was created and developed in the 1920s when Joseph Pilates founded its basic principles. If you develop the right technique you will be able to “re-educate” your own body and begin to upgrade your inner energy.
CENTERING
Discover and feel gravity – all movements come from the center of the body (powerhouse)
CONTROL
Along with the movements use your mind and body
CONCENTRATION
Deep focus on the exercises contributes to eliminating unnecessary thoughts and do your best in every movement.
PRECISION
Without precision Pilates – exercises are almost pointless. Precision requires focus, concentration, and control.
BREATHING
Breathe consciously – breathing is the inner shower through which you cleanse the body, improve natural movements,
brighten the mind, calm the spirit.
FLOW
The movements are clearly expressed from the beginning to the end of the movement without being truncated
they flow smoothly one after another.
EFFICIENCY
Focus on the specific movement applying the necessary amount of energy – neither more nor less
BALANCE
Develop your muscles evenly so that your body can be healthy and function normally without any difficulties
